Synopsis
As World War II comes to a chaotic end, a hunt for Nazi collaborators terrorizes the northern Italian city of Trieste. When his brother Umberto, a Fascist banker, becomes a target, Amedeo Nassutti, a socialist trolley driver, must decide whether to help. But Umberto has refused to speak to him for 20 years, and just making the attempt could cost Amedeo his life.
